Steel Buildings
- All of our Steel Framed Buildings are designed to the European Code EN 1993
- The Cold Rolled Steel is hot dipped galvanised steel S540 to BS EN 1993-1-3-2006 with a yield strength of 450/N/mm2. Our steel work does therefore not require any paintwork.
- All components are bolted with high tensile Grade 8.8 zinc plated bolts.
- No welds are required – our system is fully bolted which reduces risk of human error in the fabrication process that is common in hot rolled systems.
- Our light weight cold rolled system can be designed to as low as 18kg/m2 (this is approx. 20% less than conventional hot rolled steelwork).
- We are also capable of incorporating hot rolled steel into our designs if necessary – we will always look to find the most cost-effective solution that meets the needs of the client.
- Mezzanine floors are often included in our projects and can be free standing or incorporated into the main building frame. These are designed to your requirements with the same principal as the steel buildings to various floor loading capacities.
- The Steelwork requires very little maintenance for the first 70 years along as it kept in a dry, stable environment.
